Job Description

Job Title: X-Ray Technician

Location: New York, NY 10024

Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM

Pay Rate: $50/hr – $61/hr

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced X-Ray Technician to join a dynamic healthcare team in New York City. The technician will be responsible for operating diagnostic imaging equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and maintaining safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate radiologic and imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images

  • Prepare and position patients safely for radiological procedures

  • Explain procedures and address patient concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation

  • Use appropriate radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff

  • Process and evaluate radiographs, making necessary adjustments for optimal quality

  • Accurately chart and verify completed imaging exams in patient records

  • Maintain imaging equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and report malfunctions

  • Monitor inventory and ensure the availability of necessary radiologic supplies

  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols in clinical settings

  • Participate in ongoing professional development, maintain CME credits, and stay updated on industry standards

  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to overall team goals

  • Complete age-specific competencies and additional duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

  • Proficiency in diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and effective environment

Education and Certifications:
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology

  • New York State License (L.R.T)

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
